You get what you recompense for

The name of this product is very misleading: it holds only 5% down. It is also noisy–the lining makes a comparatively earsplitting crinkling sound like plastic. This may still go away, I have no idea. Other reviewers report feathers sticking out and poking persons after just a few weeks. But it costs 1/10 what a nice down comforter does…so…you get what you remunerate for. To it is credit, it is warm, has nice loft, and is light.

They have changed it!

I ordered one of these last year around Christmas and was very happy with the quality. So much so that I ordered two more this year for my children. The comforter I received this year is not one thing like the one last year. It is precisely like the posts that describe it as sewn together sheets with feathers poking out of it! You may feel the plucked feathers everywhere! Yuck! The one from last year is soft, with fine down and not a feather poking anywhere. It is sad that there is such inconsistency in the product.

Heavenly Beds on a Budget

This company, Natural Comfort has to be the best kept mystery out there. Whoever you are… BLESS YOU! I love your stuff, loves it! I have to compare this to the overprice Pacific Coast Feather Co. I used to buy their products, but not anymore as long as this one is affordable. This company in truth uses GOOSE FEATHER DOWN. A huge divergence from “feather filled”. Down merchandise will have to be made of goose or duck down and is a soft tame beneath feather that looks like a matured dandelion head flying in the breeze. Down feathers are used by the birds is used for bird nesting and insulation for birds to stay warm for the duration of cold seasons that’s why it is such a great product for bedding. Feather filled may be made of a great deal of types of fowl feathers… particulary chicken, wild game, turkey or goose from mercantile farms and are hard and pointy. Feather filled merchandise will tend to poke out of fabric or feel “hard” beneath your touch. With this comforter, you get not one thing like it. You may tell it is real goose down and if you hold it up to the light, you may see the down underneath the fabric. Yeah, perchance the pockets are not filled completely, but you don’t need it to be. This comforter holds the heat in. I love it. I commend it to APO clients and stateside. Awesome product.

The original duvet and cover I’ve tried. The fill seems to have shifted some, but other than as supposed or expected it’s good. OK for the money, but no superstar.

Both my husband (who is very skeptical) and I love the insert. It is light weight but cozy. I would have liked it to have something to attach the corners to my duvet but I invented my own method of securing it.

Good, not great

I thought this bag would be much thicker (it’s like painter’s plastic) and that I’d be capable to seal it. It’s basically a big yellow pocket. Be conscious that upon purchase, you still need to come up with a way to seal one end so that not one thing may get into it.

Not impressed

I was not impressed with this product. It says it seals out bugs and moisture but it doesn’t “seal” at all. You have to use tape or whatsoever you have on hand to seal it yourself. When I was putting the bag on the box-spring, it tore! Good thing I purchased two for the box-spring and two for the mattress. All this is is an over-sized trash bag.

Fine no frills plastic bag

This is a perfectly fine no frills mattress-size plastic bag. It doesn’t include a sealing method so I used packing tape. If you want a fancier bag with something like a zipper, you’ll have to spend more. I am using it for 2 kids full-size mattresses, not too thick.

WARM even in Chicago winter

Needed a new quilt/comforter, and we keep the house at 58 at night–so I wanted a warm one that didn’t cost the world or a mortgage payment. THIS one was brought up as being VERY warm (and allergy immune since for allergy reasons I can not do down). IT IS. Bravo. Though it doesn’t look heavy and isn’t to sleep under, had to turn the heat in the waterbed down to a lower temperature (good for the winter heating bills). Fabulous item for it’s price.

Well made, very warm

I chose this to fit a queen-size platform storage bed because I didn’t want the sides to overhang underneath the drawers. It is VERY warm, but not too heavy. Excellant loft. Baffel boxes keep filling from shifting.

Very warm, very puffy, very clean and soft

Did my homework before buying this, had a good deal of worries in regards to non-down but this is very very nice. You will still want an all-cotton duvet cover. Good for persons who need a Siberian down type comforter but have money, allergy or pet issues. Me, I like down, but I have a rescue pup with a nervous bladder, and there is NOTHING I may do if the sirens drive by or the alarm goes off. SO….down did not launder well and I don’t want to sleep with or recompense for all that dry-cleaning solvent…..

This is a retraction from my former negative review.

My firstborn review was based on removing this comforter from the package and seeing this very thin blanket. Much like another reviewer I freaked out a bit. It has without doubt fluffed up nicely and is very comfy and warm. After further examination. It is very nicely constructed. I’m finelooking happy with it now.

Word of warning. They come packaged in a sealed plastic container. When you basi unzip it, it comes out very flat. Don’t freak out like I did. Give it a day or two to fluff up.

Like sleeping underneath a cloud

What a great purchase. I had been looking for a new down comforter: light-weight, warm, and 100% down. This was just the ticket. It is in a literal sense “light as a feather” so it’s like sleeping under a cloud. It’s thin and very light-weight, but fantastically warm and delicious to snuggle into. The baffle construction keeps the down in place so there are no “cold spots.” I put it in a duvet cover and that, along with a light blanket, is sufficient to keep me toasty warm at night (I keep my house very cool – once in a while as low as 50 degrees – and it’s terrifically snug underneath the comforter).

Grand Deal!!!

I ordered on Monday, I received Wed. and it is lovely. I necessitated two, but I only ordered one (skeptical)….. now I’ll order the other. I have always, always owned down comforters, but I have had to compensate a little fortune for them. Right now at 54 and in my last year of law school, I’m broke so I took a probability on this one— but it paid off. I hope it’s volume that allows them to trade such a nice piece at such a reasonable price– or perhaps it’s entry into the market– rather candidly I don’t care. This is an special comforter at the price. I likewise held it up to the light and it is genuinely all down.
