Super Soft and Warm!!!

I received this comforter just before the weather hit 15 degrees in Seattle the week before Thanksgiving – Nice timing! I was looking for an oversized king which this one is close to being. It is very warm! (I have another substitute down comforter that is even heavier on fill than this one that is not closely as warm once you are underneath it.) The microfiber cover is super, super soft and the fluffy fill material actually feels like it is down inside – even though it is not. The box stitching however, leaves much to be desired. Because it is microfiber, it doesn’t slide versus other blankets or sheets well. On one hand, this is good as it stays put (doesn’t end up sliding to the floor); on the other hand, it is only scarcely single-stiched, so numerous of the “rugged, double-needle stitching” has already torn by just attempting to pull the blanket up when making the bed. The one I received is NOT double-stitched for the baffle-boxes but it is double stitched around the outer edges. I also wish it was offered in other colors – it is only in White and I would have preferent cream or beige. Overall, $50 for a warm, soft, over-sized king duvet is a finelooking darn good deal!

Nice but NOT “all-weather” – way too warm

Seems like a great comforter and substitute to down but it is WAY too warm. I don’t see how this is an “all-weather” blanket – can’t imaging using it in the summer. This may be perfective for a great deal of people because of the warmth but not for us. And I am someone who is always freezing. Otherwise it is a very fluffy, comfortable blanket that seems light-weight. It is just not breathable.
